LOWELL, FL : Motorcyclist killed in collision on Thursday,12th April 2018

A motorcyclist was killed Thursday when he crashed into a vehicle that was turning into a driveway, ejecting him.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said George McGee, 66 of Reddick, died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, officials said.

Troopers said the driver of a 2002 Toyota Camry was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center in serious condition.

Authorities said the Camry’s driver, Jalisa Tuggle, 30 of Ocala, was traveling northbound on County Road 25A.

McGee was traveling southbound on the same roadway.

Tuggle’s vehicle was attempting to turn left into Lowell Correctional Institutional and turned into the path of the motorcycle.

Officials said McGee was thrown from the bike and landed on the west shoulder. Both vehicles blocked the intersection, troopers said.
