A longtime employee of the Jefferson County Schools bus garage was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Morristown Saturday night.
Dennis Lee Stevenson, 64, of Morristown, was taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained when his 2003 Harley Davidson veered off Highway 25E and struck a culvert and a dirt median, Morristown Patrolman Paul Carter reported.
Also injured in the accident was passenger Jamie Ellis, 49, also of Morristown. She was also being treated at UT Medical Center.
The accident occurred at 10:25 p.m. while Stevenson was headed south on 25E at excessive speed, the patrolman stated. He was going straight when the motorcycle left the roadway in the vicinity of Vineyard Road, the report states. The officer’s investigation was not yet complete yesterday.
