CLAYTON, WI : 17-year-old charged with OWI after crashing into Winnebago deputy's cruiser on Thursday, 6th December 2018

A teen driver is accused of OWI after dashboard camera captured a car crashing into a deputy's cruiser.

The sheriff's office said two deputies responded to a car stuck in a ditch on Highway 76 in Clayton around 1:14 a.m.They got out of their squad cars to stop traffic and help the driver. Because of that, the deputies were not hurt by what transpired next.

Deputies said within minutes, a 17-year-old driver crashed into the cars and was arrested by Wisconsin State Patrol, accused of OWI.

Three 16-year-old passengers in that vehicle were also cited on underage alcohol violations. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
