HUNNEWELL, MO : Hunnewell crash injures two on Route V in Hunnewell on Wednesday, 16th September, 2020

Two people were injured in a Wednesday night crash on Route V in Hunnewell.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 1997 Chevrolet truck driven by a 15-year-old Hunnewell boy was heading north and attempting to make a left turn when it was rear ended by a northbound 1986 Ford truck driven by Katelyn D. Shuck, 19, of Hunnewell.

Shuck and a passenger, Makayla R. Shuck, 17, of Hunnewell, were taken by Monroe County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

The 15-year-old was wearing a seat belt, but the Shucks were not, the patrol said.

The patrol was assisted by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department, Monroe City Ambulance and Monroe City Fire Department.
