Fort Wayne, IN : A single-vehicle crash in DeKalb County on February, Sunday 4th 2018
One teenager died and another was taken to the hospital in serious condition after a single-vehicle crash in DeKalb County.
The 17-year-old male driver of Fort Wayne was driving his Dodge Ram east in the 3400 block of County Road 26 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree on the passenger's side, according to a press release.
The passenger, a 16-year-old female from Waterloo, was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma. The driver had facial and back injuries and was taken to Parkview Regional.
Speed and icy road conditions were contributing factors in the crash, police said.
