Oviedo, FL : One person seriously injured in crash on Lake Jesup Bridge on Friday afternoon, April 15, 2016

One person was seriously hurt after a crash on the Lake Jesup Bridge on Friday afternoon.

According to Seminole County fire officials, one person was trapped after the two-vehicle collision. The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.

Once firefighters were able to free the trapped person, that individual was taken to a hospital as a trauma alert patient.

The northbound lanes of State Road 417 were closed for the emergency response and cleanup.
