SUSANVILLE, CA : 1 dead in solo vehicle crash on State Route 44, west of State Route 36 on Thursday, 29th June 2023

A person died in a solo vehicle rollover crash yesterday on State Route 44 west of State Route 36, the CHP said.

The CHP dispatch received a call of a solo vehicle rollover crash around 7 p.m. yesterday, the CHP said.

The CHP said officers responded and located a 2014 Chevrolet Impala which had rolled down an embankment. First responders were trying to perform live saving measures on 69-year-old Douglas Strand of Sparks, Nevada.

The CHP said Strand died on the scene.
