Victorville,CA : Two-vehicle crash at Village, Mojave drives forces hard road closure on November, Monday 27th 2017
A two-vehicle crash at Village and Mojave drives forced a hard road closure Monday morning, although no one was injured.
The crash was reported at about 9:05 a.m.
A vehicle was traveling westbound on Mojave Drive when it ran a red light at the intersection, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said.
A Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound on Village Drive, turning onto Mojave, and broadsided the other vehicle in the intersection, Rodriguez said.
The Silverado came to a stop after crashing into an Edison power pole near the intersection.
The driver of the vehicle that ran the light was cited for failure to stop at a red light, driving on a suspended license and failure to provide proof of insurance, according to Rodriguez.
The crash spurred a hard closure on Mojave Drive between Condor Road and the Interstate 15 southbound off-ramp, and Village Drive at Culebra Road, Victorville city spokeswoman Sue Jones said.
