A 6-year-old boy is dead after being run over by a pickup truck in a Seminole County driveway, troopers said.

Rosemary Starnes, 57, of Altamonte Springs, was backing up in the driveway of a home on Ohio Avenue around 11:57 a.m. Saturday.

The boy, Richard Nixie, of Sanford, was on a small Yamaha motor bike in the same driveway.

As Starnes backed up, the right rear of her Ford pickup truck ran over Richard Nixie.

The boy was flown to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, where he later died, troopers said.The crash remains under investigation.
