Potterville, MI : Three people injured after crash in Potterville on Saturday, October 22, 2016

Three people were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a three-car accident Saturday afternoon in Potterville.

According to a news release from the Eaton County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred at Hartel and Vermontville roads shortly before 3 p.m.

Police believe a 2012 Honda Civic carrying four people was headed east on Vermontville and failed to yield to a 2008 Dodge Caliber carrying one person that was headed north on Hartel. The vehicles collided and the Honda struck a 2006 Escape carrying four people that was stopped.

Four of the people involved in the accident were children, according to the release.

Three adults were transported to the hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
