Omaha, NE : Man died after a car-motorcycle crash on South 35th Street and Nebraska Avenue early Thursday morning, Aug 13, 2015

A man has died from complications as a result of an accident Friday.

Council Bluffs police were dispatched to the area of South 35th Street and Nebraska Avenue early Thursday morning after a car-motorcycle crash was reported.

An investigation revealed that the driver of the motorcycle, Michael Sowl, struck a median, lost control and landed in the travel portion of the roadway. Sowl was transported by Council Bluffs Fire and Rescue to Creighton University Hospital, where he later died.

Sowl wasn't wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and toxicology results are pending.
