EL PASO, TX : 21-year-old El Paso woman killed in crash on Saturday, 30th March 2019

A 21-year-old El Paso woman died when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a traffic pole Saturday morning in East El Paso.

A news release from the El Paso Police Department said that Victoria Ramos was driving south on Joe Battle Boulevard at a "high rate of speed," when she lost control of her 2010 Hyundai Elantra at the Edgemere intersection.

The Elantra hit the traffic signal pole and Ramos died at the scene from her injuries. No one else was in the car with her.

Police are still investigating the crash, which was the 15th fatal accident of 2019, compared to 13 at this time last year.
