A 20-year-old Springfield woman injured in a car-semi crash between Essig and Sleepy Eye Tuesday morning suffered a broken leg, bumps and bruises.
Larson was transported to North Memorial Medical Hospital after the crash.
“We’re pretty blessed. We’re very thankful for everybody who helped out, the semi driver, Dana (Johnson); the Sleepy Eye Fire Department and Sleepy Eye Ambulance crew, Sleepy Eye Medical Center and the Minnesota State Patrol,” said Larson’s mother Mary Wednesday.
Mary Larson said Johnson stayed and prayed with her daughter at the scene until the fire department and ambulance crew arrived.
“They used the jaws of life to get her out of the car, so thanks to them for that,” Larson said.
“She’s doing well. Depending on how physical therapy goes, she may leave the hospital Friday,” Mary Larson said about her daughter.
