Muncie, IN : Man in critical condition after his truck rolled over and caught fire on Burlington Drive early Sunday morning, April 10, 2016

Four days after his truck rolled over and caught fire, a Muncie man remained in critical condition in an Indianapolis hospital.

Joseph P. Green, 32, of the 300 block of West Charter Drive, was flown by medical helicopter to Eskenazi Hospital shortly after the crash early Sunday morning. As of Wednesday afternoon, he remained in critical condition in the Richard M. Fairbanks Burn Center, according to a hospital spokesman.

According to police, Green’s pickup truck was southbound on Burlington Drive just south of Inlow Springs Road around 2 a.m. Sunday, when the truck left the east side of the road along a curve, struck two large ornamental boulders, rolled over and caught fire.

Green got out of the truck before emergency responders arrived, but suffered burns and other injuries.

Initial reports indicated speed was likely a factor in the crash, according to police.
