As many as two people were hurt when a sedan crashed into the center divider on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Sylmar, authorities said today.
The crash was reported at 10:52 p.m. Sunday on the southbound Golden State Freeway at the connector to the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, said California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos.
The car hit the center divider, overturned and caught fire, Villalobos said. The two people inside were able to get out.
“At least one was taken to Henry Mayo (Newhall Hospital),” he said. The injuries were believed to be minor.
A news videographer reported from the scene that the two people in the car were women.
