A concrete mixer rolled over on Sierra Madre Street Wednesday afternoon, spilling some concrete before a tow company could get it upright.
The driver of the truck was hospitalized with moderate injuries, according to Capt. Steve Oswald, a spokesman for the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
The crash was reported shortly before 3 p.m. The truck was about three-quarters full of concrete, and likely toppled when going around a curve because of the top-heavy load, Oswald said.
Sierra Madre was closed around West Mill and West Las Vegas streets while the crash was cleared. The road was expected to reopen by 5 p.m.
