VERNON, CT : Fire the result of 2-vehicle crash on I-84 in Vernon on Thursday, 22nd February 2024

A two-vehicle crash led to a fire on Interstate 84 in Vernon on Thursday morning.

According to the Vernon Fire Department, firefighters and emergency crews were dispatched to I-84 westbound just before exit 66 around 4:50 a.m.

A report said that there was a two-vehicle crash with one of the vehicles on fire.

“Units on scene confirmed initial reports and found an SUV had collided with the rear end of a box truck and was actively on fire with all parties out of the vehicles,” Vernon firefighters said.
