Watertown, NY : A State trooper was injured in a head-on crash at in northern New York On Saturday, May 21st, 2016
A state trooper is recovering from minor injuries suffered when his cruiser was struck head-on in northern New York.
State police say trooper Jason West was parked on a street in the city of Watertown in a marked patrol car when a car driven by 26-year-old Benjamin Koster of Carthage veered across lanes and struck the front of the patrol car.
Troopers say the patrol car was pushed backward into a parked pickup truck, which then struck a parked SUV. Neither of those vehicles was occupied.
West was transported to Samaritan Medical Center for minor injuries and released, while Koster was treated there for minor injuries.
State police say an investigation is continuing.
