MACOUPIN COUNTY, IL : Driver air-lifted after Macoupin County crash on I-55 on Wednesday, 1st November 2023

A driver was air-lifted after a bad crash on Interstate 55 in Macoupin County Wednesday morning.

Illinois State Police troopers were called to I-55 northbound south of Staunton Road at 10:47 a.m.

Troopers said the crash involved two semi-trailers. One rear-ended the other, police said.

One driver was air-lifted to the hospital with injuries.
