A 77-year-old Yakima woman was injured in a three-car accident Sunday afternoon, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Clara W. Coddington was taken to Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital following the 2:40 p.m. collision at the intersection of University Parkway and State Route 24, authorities said. Her condition wasn’t immediately available.
She and Guillermo Garcia-Verdin, 37, of Yakima were both eastbound on State Route 24 near the intersection with University Parkway. Coddington was in the turn lane when Garcia-Verdin struck her car and then hit a westbound vehicle driven by Rosa Valencia-Farias, 34, of Manson, authorities said.
Garcia-Verdin was cited for improper lane usage, State Patrol reported.
