Monessen, PA : A Homer City man was injured in an ATV accident on May, Saturday 20th 2017

A Homer City man was injured in an ATV accident Saturday evening in Indiana County, state police said.

Patrick J. Werhel, 30, was riding at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in West Wheatfield Township when it crashed at the intersection of Washington and Front streets, the police report said.

Werhel failed to stop for a stop sign and struck a porch, according to the report.

It was unclear from the report how serious the injuries were or whether he was wearing a helmet. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
