Two people were seriously inured in a head-on crash in Friendship Tuesday afternoon, Anne Arundel fire officials said.
The accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. in the area of West Chesapeake Beach Road and Sansbury Road where they found a sedan and pickup truck that had collided head-on. The driver of the sedan, a woman believed to be around 80-years-old was taken by helicopter to the Prince George's Hospital's Trauma Center in Cheverly, fire officials said.
A passenger in the sedan, a man believed to be in his early to mid-80s, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Calvert Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the pickup truck, a man believed to be in his mid-60s, was also taken trauma center with serious, but not believed to be life-threatening injuries, fire officials said.
The crash is under investigation by the Maryland State Police.
