LOUISVILLE, KY : Man dead after hit-and-run in Irish Hill neighborhood on Thursday, 18th January 2024

A man is dead after a hit-and-run in the Irish Hill neighborhood Thursday evening, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department

Officers responded to a report of a man who had been hit by a car at the intersection of Lexington Road and Payne Street around 6:30 p.m., LMPD spokesperson John Bradley said.

The man was transported to UofL Hospital where he later died from his injuries, Bradley said.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the man as 31-year-old Michael Anthony Allen.
