HAUGHTON, LA : Woman driving wrong way on I-20 killed in wreck near Haughton on Wednesday, 7th February 2024

A woman is dead after reportedly driving the wrong way on I-20 and getting into a head-on crash.

Louisiana State Police says it happened Wednesday, Feb. 7 just after 10:30 p.m. on I-20 E just west of the Haughton Fillmore exit. The wreck involved two vehicles.

As a result of the crash, Alejandra Berry, 38, of Shreveport, was killed.

Preliminary details from LSP show Berry was driving a 2018 Jeep Cherokee westbound in one of the eastbound lanes of I-20. At the same time, a 2024 Mack 18-wheeler was headed eastbound on I-20. Berry hit the 18-wheeler head-on and the Jeep veered off the left side of the interstate.
