Scott County, KS : Colorado woman killed in Scott County crash on U.S. 83 about 4 ½ miles north of the K-95 junction on Monday, 26th November 2018
An 18-year-old Colorado woman was killed when she lost control of her car on a Scott County highway and slid into the path of an oncoming semi.
The crash occurred about 4 p.m. on U.S. 83 about 4 ½ miles north of the K-95 junction.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Kieran McGill, of Thornton, Colorado, was southbound in a 2004 Jeep Liberty when for unknown reasons she went into a side skid and entered the northbound lane of the highway, into the path of a 1995 Peterbilt truck pulling a Wilson trailer, driven by Gary Bowman, 62, of Smithville, Missouri.
McGill, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. Bowman was taken to Scott County Hospital with possible Injuries.
