Afton, MN : 1 dead after wrong-way crash with FedEx vehicle in Afton on Saturday, 17th June 2023

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on Eastbound Interstate 94 at Manning Avenue in Afton, Minn.

A Dodge Ram 1500 was driving the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of I-94 when it hit a FedEx Freightliner head-on, according to a report from the State Patrol.

Traffic camera video from the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) showed two vehicles in flames at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The report added that both vehicles caught fire upon collision. The FedEx driver was pulled from his vehicle and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries but the Dodge Ram driver was trapped in his car and died at the scene.
