Woman dies in single-car accident in Everett Washington

A 38-year-old woman died early this morning in Everett after she lost control of her 2001 Dodge Durango and crashed into a pole, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The woman was driving northbound on Highway 529, just south of Interstate 5, around 3 a.m. when she went off the roadway to the left then crossed back to the right side and struck a pillar, police said. The cause of the accident is unclear, the state patrol said.
