Jacksboro, TN : LaFollette woman killed in I-75 crash on Wednesday morning, January 21, 2015

A LaFollette woman was killed in a crash Wednesday morning that shut down the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 for more than an hour.

The crash happened near mile marker 160 in Campbell County at around 10:20 a.m.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2008 Toyota RAV4 driven by Janice K. Osbourne, 66, of LaFollette, and a 2004 GMC truck driven by Steven E. Kniceley, 41, of Hamilton, Ohio, were both going northbound.

Troopers say Osbourne was traveling in the inside lane and crossed into Kniceley’s path, causing Kniceley’s truck to strike Osbourne’s vehicle.

Osbourne’s Toyota then ran through the guardrail and landed off the roadway.

Osbourne was killed in the crash. Kniceley was injured, as was his passenger Tara Kniceley.

Everyone was wearing a seatbelt.
