Alexandria, LA : Alexandria bicyclist killed in U.S. 165 hit-and-run crash on U.S. Highway 165, just south of Alexandria on Thursday, 9th January, 2020

A bicyclist died early Thursday morning when a motorist hit him and then left the scene, according to Louisiana State Police.

The victim was identified as Taurus Walker, 50, of Alexandria. State police identified him as Taurus McQuarn.

An email seeking clarification wasn't immediately returned.

He died at the scene of the 6:30 a.m. crash on U.S. Highway 165, just south of Alexandria, reads a release.
