Grand Junction, CO : Man dies in desert dirt bike accident on Monday, 19th August 2019

A 58-year-old man died Monday after a dirt bike accident several miles into the desert north of Grand Junction.

There are no details on the cause of the crash, but the incident occurred 2 to 3 miles into the desert off of 27 ¼ Road, north of the Grand Junction Regional Airport, according to Mesa County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Megan Terlecky. Grand Junction Fire also responded to the accident. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
