A person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident Iredell County Wednesday night.
The Mount Mourne Volunteer Fire Department says they were called to a pedestrian that had been struck around 10:58 p.m. on Interstate 77 at Exit 31.
Fire officials say they arrived to find a multi-vehicle crash with one person pinned under a vehicle. That person was removed and pronounced dead on scene by Iredell County EMS.
No other injuries were reported.
I-77 southbound at Exit 31 was closed for a time.
