Two Orlando men escaped injury on Sunday when the car they were riding in crashed into a pond in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Jose Puga, 21, was driving a 2015 Hyundai four-door sedan around 4:30 a.m. on John Young Parkway near Taft Vineland Road when, for unknown reasons, the car left the road and traveled into a retention pond, said FHP spokeswoman Kim Montes.
Puga and his passenger, Alfonso Caicedo, 26, exited the vehicle before it was submerged, Montes said. The crash, which was not alcohol-related, remains under investigation, she added.
