Four people are dead and four more injured—two in critical condition—after a three-vehicle crash Saturday in the town of Sharon.
Walworth County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call at 11:45 a.m. Saturday of a crash with multiple injuries and an entrapment at the intersection of Highway K and Townhall Road, according to a news release from the Walworth County Sheriff's Office.
Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that a fully loaded semi-truck and trailer was northbound on Highway K approaching the intersection with Townhall Road. The semi had the right of way as there is no stop sign for traffic on Highway K at that intersection, according to the news release.
A 2011 red Chevy 2500 pickup truck was eastbound on Townhall Road and failed to yield to a posted stop sign, according to the news release. The semi collided with with the passenger side of the pickup, according to the news release. A third vehicle, a 2004 GMC Envoy, was southbound on Highway K and was also involved in the crash.
