Augusta County, VA :Driver Charged After Morning Crash Leads to Massive Delays on Monday, July 13th 2015
Traffic is running smoothly after a crash shut down a section of Interstate 81 in Augusta County on Monday morning.Virginia State police identified 45-year-old Michael Yopp as the driver of the tractor-trailer. He now faces a reckless driving charge.Yopp tried to avoid hitting a deer in the southbound lanes of I-81 near mile marker 229, according to state police.While trying to avoid the deer, the driver overturned his truck.This crash was first reported at about 5:45.No injuries were reported; however, the Virginia Department of Transportation reported delays as long as 8 miles.
