Fort Wayne, IN : Two-vehicle crash that badly injured another driver in New Haven on May, Wednesday 10th 2017
Police were looking for a woman who they said fled the scene of a two-vehicle crash that badly injured another driver in New Haven Wednesday night.
Around 6:30 p.m., a pickup truck was traveling west in the 7000 block of Moeller Road when an eastbound sport utility vehicle on Moeller suddenly turned to the north, striking the pickup truck, New Haven police said.
The driver of the pickup truck was initially in serious condition, but his condition was downgraded to critical when he was taken to a hospital, police said.
The SUV driver fled the scene. Witnesses described the woman as a light skinned black, Asian or Hispanic in her late teens to mid-20s, wearing black pants and a red flannel shirt. She was seen walking away from the crash, police said.
Police established a permimeter but were unable to find the woman, they said.
