BIRMINGHAM, AL : 2 killed, 4 others hurt in crash on Graymont Ave. West on Sunday, 7th May 2023

Two people were killed and four other people were hurt in a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning in Birmingham.

Police responded to the accident around 5:15 a.m. in the 800 block of Graymont Avenue West.

The victims have been identified as Imani Nashiem Smith, 25, of Bessemer and Mi’Angel Temple Jones, 21, of Bessemer. Both died at the scene.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said Smith was the driver of the vehicle that was traveling south on Arkadelphia Road when it was involved in a single-vehicle crash with a utility pole.
