STATEN ISLAND,NY : Senior pedestrian injured in crash in Dongan Hills on Thursday, 15th October, 2020

A senior pedestrian was injured in Dongan Hills on Thursday morning, police said.

An older man suffered a head injury when he was struck by a vehicle in the vicinity of Hylan Boulevard and Burgher Avenue at about 9:45 a.m., according to preliminary information from the NYPD.

The car that hit him remained on the scene.

The victim now is stable, according to police.

The man was transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze, according to a spokesman for the FDNY/EMS.
