WATERBURY, CT : Mother dies children hurt in Waterbury crash on Tuesday, 12th March 2024

A woman died in a crash in Waterbury Tuesday morning, according to police.

Authorities said it happened in the area of 168 Jersey Street around 8:34 a.m. Officers responded for the report of a vehicle that hit a tree.

Police found the driver and two children inside the crashed vehicle.

The driver was taken to the hospital for serious injuries but pronounced deceased shortly after, police said.
