Newport News, VA :Multi-vehicle crash on I-64 West at Jefferson Avenue on Friday, July 3rd 2015

All traffic lanes are open after an eight-vehicle crash on West Interstate 64 in Newport News, Friday.Virginia State Police dispatchers said the crash was reported on I-64 West at mile marker 255.7, around 11:05 a.m.There were reported injuries, but the extent of the injuries remain unclear at this point.All thru lanes of the inside set of lanes were closed for almost three hours and traffic was detoured to the outside lanes at Jefferson or Victory Blvd.No further information has been released.
