Philadelphia, PA : Driver arrested after out of control SUV crashes in Philadelphia on Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Philadelphia police say a passenger was killed when an out-of-control SUV slammed into concrete steps in the city's Holmesburg section.

Police arrested driver in the 1:30 a.m. Wednesday crash on suspicion of driving under the influence.

They say he was speeding when he lost control while trying to pass another car. He wasn't seriously hurt.

The killed passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was hospitalized with a broken leg and arm.
