Hannibal, MO : 2 Vandalia men injured in Ralls County crash on Wednesday afternoon, March 8, 2017

Two Vandalia men were left with moderate injuries following a one-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Ralls County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap happened at 1:24 p.m. March 8 on MO 154, four miles east of Vandalia.

A 1995 International dump truck was being driven east by 25-year-old Leroy A. Schlueter when it went off the road. When Schlueter overcorrected the truck overturned, coming to rest on its top in the roadway.
In addition to Schlueter, also injured was a passenger, 41-year-old David C. Sanders. Neither man was wearing a safety device when the accident occurred. Schlueter and Sanders were both flown to University Hospital in Columbia.
