Knoxville, TN : One adult dead, Three injured after a head-on collision involving a school bus in Loudon County on Thursday morning, February 5, 2015

Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a school bus and one other vehicle. Troopers on the scene confirm the female driver of a small suv that hit the school bus is dead. No one else was in the vehicle with her.

Two students were taken to a local hospital by personal vehicles with minor injuries. The driver of the school bus was transported to Parkwest Medical Center with unknown injuries. Loudon County Sheriff's deputies first arrived to the crash just after 7:30 Thursday morning near the intersection of Highway 11 and Calloway Road.

School bus number 8 was carrying students from the Philadelphia School District. The sheriff's office says the other students have all been taken to their respective schools.

SR 2 (US 11) at mile marker 5 is expected to be closed at least couple of hours.
