Mount Airy (Town),GA : 4 injured in Crosland collision on October, Sunday 22th 2017

Four people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Crosland Sunday night.

Three of the injured were 20 years old and the other was 19.

The Georgia State Patrol said a 2015 Toyota Camry was following a 1996 Ford Mustang, both headed north in the inside lane of Highway 319 near the 24 mile marker at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday. A witness said both cars were speeding and driving recklessly, the GSP said.

The Camry struck the rear of the Mustang, which caused the Mustang to cross the center line and collide front-to-front with an oncoming 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the state patrol said.

The Jeep overturned twice.

All three drivers and a passenger in the Jeep were injured and transported to Colquitt Regional Medical Center by ambulance, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

A spokeswoman for the hospital said three people were seen at the emergency room and released to go home:

• Savana Robertson, 19, of Hartsfield, the driver of the Jeep.

• Kelby Wright, 20, the passenger in the Jeep.

• Jonathan Cox, 20, of Norman Park, the driver of the Mustang.

The GSP said Harlie Latimer, 20, of Moultrie was also injured, but the hospital spokeswoman could find no record of her being treated there.

Latimer, the driver of the Camry, was booked into the Colquitt County Jail on charges of following too closely, DUI and driver to exercise due care.

All four of those injured were wearing seat belts, the GSP said.
