Kingston, ID : 51-year-old Washington state man died in an all-terrain vehicle crash in northern Idaho Saturday afternoon, June 25, 2016

One person was killed and another injured in an ATV crash in Kingston on Saturday afternoon.

Cheney resident Thomas C. Schwartzenberger, 51, was traveling northbound on Old River Road near milepost 7.1 when he failed to negotiate a turn. Kristi P. Hunnicutt, 60, of Silverton was a passenger on the ATV.

The ATV left the road, struck a tree and continued down a long embankment where Schwartzenberger then struck another tree.

Both Schwartzenberger and Hunnicutt were ejected.

Schwartzenberger was killed in the crash. Hunnicutt suffered injuries and was taken to Kootenai Health.
