Erie, PA : One injured in accident near West 12th Street and Pittsburgh Avenue on Monday, September 11, 2017

One person was injured Monday evening in a two-car crash on Pittsburgh Avenue just south of West 12th Street.

The accident occurred just before 8 p.m., according to Erie County dispatchers. A witness at the scene said one of the cars was pulling out of a nearby parking lot when it struck another car traveling north on Pittsburgh Avenue.

A female was transported to the hospital by ambulance, while a male was arrested for possibly driving under the influence, Erie police said.

No other details were available Monday night.
