Sunderland, VT : Vermont state trooper involved in hit-and-run crash on U.S. Route 7 interchange in Sunderland on Monday, March 30, 2015

Vermont State Police investigators are looking for a car and the driver who fled a crash with a state trooper's cruiser at a U.S. Route 7 interchange in Sunderland.

The crash occurred at 6:05 a.m. Monday when Trooper Ben Barton was on the northbound ramp when a southbound vehicle lost control and crossed the centerline. Barton's vehicle was struck on the driver's side rear door and fender.

The vehicle is described as a 2013 to 2015 silver or gray Subaru Cross Trek. It was last seen traveling south toward Bennington.

Barton was unhurt.
