Mount Morris, NY : One person dead and dozen others injured in a three-vehicle crash in Livingston County on Monday morning, April 4, 2016

A Nunda driver was killed and several others injured after a three-vehicle crash — one of them a passenger van filled with tourists — along Route 36 in Mount Morris Monday morning, the Livingston County Sheriff's Office said.
Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the crash Monday at 8:06 a.m. and found that three vehicles were involved including a commercial passenger van that was occupied by 13 people.
A total of 15 people were involved in the crash and numerous ambulances, fire departments and police personnel were called to the scene to treat victims and investigate the crash. Fourteen ambulances ultimately responded to the site.
The preliminary on-scene investigation found that the van was driven by Lin Hou, 26, of Flushing and traveling southbound when it crossed into the northbound lane and struck a car head on. The driver of that car was Susan Migliore, 67, of Nunda. Migliore’s car was then struck from behind by an SUV driven by Richard Stanley, 39, of Redding, Pa.
Migliore was pronounced dead at the scene and the 12 passengers of the van along with the driver, who were tourists from China on their way back from a sightseeing excursion from Niagara Falls, were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment.
At least one of the occupants from the van had serious physical injury which included a broken femur, broken lumbar, and several broken ribs and remains in guarded condition. All others from the van were injured at some level, ranging from broken bones to contusions, the sheriff's department said. Strong Memorial Hospital staff is evaluating the injuries.
Stanley was treated and released at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash and any criminal charges will be decided at the conclusion of the investigation.
The Mount Morris Police Department and Livingston County District Attorney’s Office assisted the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office at the scene. Mt. Morris and West Sparta firefighters responded as well as Mt. Morris, Livingston County EMS, Nunda, Avon, Caledonia, Dansville, Geneseo and Perry ambulances.
