No charges yet in tanker tractor crash in Montville Ohio

Montville police say no charges have been filed yet after a tanker hit the back of a tractor, closing State Route 3 all day Wednesday.

The crash happened around 7:27 a.m. in the 7400 block of Wooster Pike. Authorities said John Harvey, 36, was hauling bales of hay with his tractor and trailer northbound on Wooster Pike from Summerwood Drive when he was hit from behind by a tanker truck carrying liquid asphalt.

Police said when the tanker/semi driver, Timothy Cox, 49, hit the tractor, it ejected Harvey and pushed the farm tractor and trailer off the road.
The tanker then rolled over, spilling part of the liquid asphalt onto the road and shoulder, authorities said.
