A motorcyclist died from injuries suffered in a crash on Broadway in downtown Louisville Monday afternoon, LMPD said in a statement.
Police responded to a vehicle versus motorcycle collision at around 4 p.m. in the 1800 block of West Broadway, according to Dwight Mitchell, a police spokesman.
An investigation revealed that an SUV was traveling eastbound when the driver made a left turn in front of a motorcycle, which was traveling westbound, causing a collision, Mitchell said.
The motorcycle driver was taken to University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, Mitchell said. Police did not release the identities of the motorists, but did say the victim was a male possibly in his late 40s.
An investigation is ongoing.
