Little Falls, MN : Woman seriously injured in accident south of Pillager on Thursday, 25th August, 2016
When a car struck a pickup with a trailer full of farm equipment this morning, Thursday, Aug. 25, the driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received the report of an accident at about 9:36 a.m., south of Pillager in Rosing Township.
The Sheriff’s Office said Peter Peterson, 76, Pine River was traveling south on Dove Road driving a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup pulling a trailer full of farm equipment, and was struck by a Saturn sedan driven by Diane Lindgren, 51, of Corcoran, who was traveling north on Dove Road. She was seriously injured and transported by North Air Care to the Robbinsdale hospital. Peterson appeared to be uninjured.
The initial investigation appears Lindgren’s vehicle crossed over the centerline and struck Peterson’s vehicle. Lindgren’s vehicle was totaled and Peterson’s vehicle sustained moderate damage.
The case is still under investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Pillager Fire Department, Pillager Rescue, North Ambulance and North Air Care.
